The Ramapo Club Ice Hockey team was shut out for the second consecutive game on Friday, losing to Stevens Institute of Technology by the score of 2-0.

Despite letting up two goals, Sophomore Goalie Keith Gay had 41 saves on 43 shots, good for a .953 save percentage.

The Roadrunners only had 18 shots on goal, all of which Stevens' Goalie Matt Smith stopped.

After a scoreless first period, Richard Hong opened up the scoreboard, scoring for Stevens 14:31 into the second period.

Things got testy later on in the period and throughout the game, as the Roadrunners committed five penalties in the second period, with 10 throughout the game. Freshman defenseman Ryan Worth was responsible for four of the Roadrunner penalties.

Andrew MacInnes iced the game for Stevens, scoring 6:25 into the third period, giving Stevens the 2-0 lead.

The Roadrunners were unable to put together solid scoring chances late in the game, thus handing Stevens the victory.

The Roadrunners traveled to Hofstra over the weekend for a Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) matchup. Ramapo came home victorious, winning the game 9-1.

The Roadrunners now hold a 2-3 overall record and are 1-2 in the MHMC.

The Roadrunners will be on the road for their next three games. They will take on Yale on Saturday, Fordham on Sunday, and Muhlenberg next Friday before finally returning home to take on the United States Coast Guard Academy on Nov. 6. The games against Yale and Fordham will both be MCHC games.
