Kevin Cottino, president of the Student Government Association, spoke at the first ever State of the Students Address as a part of Higher Education Awareness Week.
In the address to the students Cottino discussed the SGA's current endeavors, including the creation of the new Village housing contract. He also discussed projects that the College is currently working on including G-wing construction and the evaluation of general education requirements. After Cottino spoke, the audience was given the chance to ask questions. Additionally, Nicole Panzica and Anthony Darakjy gave a presentation on state funding for higher education.
Other Higher Education Awareness Week events included the Board of Trustees Meeting and NJ State of the Budget Address Roundtable. Student Government Association celebrated Higher Education Awareness Week with events that educated students on the issue of funding for higher education, including the State of the Student Address by SGA President Kevin Cottino and the SGA roundtable event.
