Ramapo to Play Against TCNJ in NJAC Game

The Ramapo women’s lacrosse team will take on The College of New Jersey Lions at 4 p.m. tomorrow. Ramapo, currently 3-1 overall, will be tested by the number four nationally ranked TCNJ team in the Roadrunner’s first New Jersey Athletic Conference game of the season.

The TCNJ Lions are undefeated so far this season, posting an 8-0 overall record. The Lions have momentum coming into the game, coming off a crushing 18-0 win over Eastern University on Saturday.

The Roadrunners have also proven that they can score goals. They have a combined 53 goals in just four games this season. Sophomore Lindsay Hughes leads all Roadrunners with 30 goals and five assists on the season.

The Lions defense will undoubtedly focus on guarding Hughes to slow Ramapo’s offensive effort. The Roadrunners will also have their hands full defensively.

In their last three games, TCNJ has scored 58 goals, including 22 against Neumann University on March 22.

TCNJ has already begun playing against NJAC competition. They defeated Rutgers-Camden 19-2 on March 2, and the Lions will try to make the Roadrunners their latest prey tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Ramapo will look to use a tough game against one of the nation’s top teams as a measuring stick for the rest of their NJAC competition. TCNJ is the favorite to win the NJAC tournament this season.

A strong game, win or lose, will tell a lot about what the Ramapo team is made of and prepare them for a tough NJAC schedule this season.
