Ramapo Shuts Out Keystone

The Roadrunners field hockey team scored two goals late in the first half to beat the Keystone College Giants 2-0 at home Tuesday in a non-conference match.

Ramapo scored twice in two minutes when sophomore Christina Bacino scored her second goal of the season after freshman Gianna Mouskourie opened the scoring at 32:14 with her seventh goal of the season.

Sophomore Nicole Healy led the Roadrunners with eight shots in the game and one assist. 

Freshman goalkeeper Emily Wisneski earned her second win of the season and the first shutout of her career as a Roadrunner making eight saves in the game.

With the win, the Roadrunners improve their overall record to 2-10 and snapped a ten game losing streak.

Ramapo’s next game is a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup against Kean University on Tuesday at home. 

The Roadrunners are 0-2 in the NJAC this season, while Kean is currently 0-1 in conference and 8-3 overall. The Cougars defeated Keystone College on Sept. 16, 3-1.
