The much awaited sweatshirt season has finally arrived, and the changing of the season calls for changing of styles. With fall in full swing, the latest fall fashions are here to stay. Keeping up with trends could be difficult, yet there are always timeless fashions to fall back on.

Junior Nikki Sulli highly anticipated fall, because it is one of her favorite seasons: “I usually look to Urban Outfitters, Aritzia and Nordstrom to keep up with the trends, but my favorite fall outfit will always be over-the-knee boots, black jeans and a chunky sweater,” she said.

She is one of many who fall for the chunky sweater look and proves that this timeless look will never go out of style.

Accessorizing is key when it comes down to fall fashion. Statement coats, bags and scarves are always in style. Samantha Almeida loves accessorizing when it comes to fall:

“My go-to outfit is high-waisted jeans, over-the-knee boots, a leather jacket and a plaid scarf. I love playing around with scarves, bracelets, rings and chokers too," the junior said.

She sticks to what she defines as timeless fall fashion, instead of trying to keep up with the latest trends, because simple will always be in.

Looking to celebrities will always give the latest and greatest fall fashions. Kendall Jenner has an incredible wardrobe, showcasing each new trend brilliantly. It is hard for the average college student to pull off such looks, since they can be costly. But while Jenner rocks velvet, suede, fur coats, flared jeans, leather pants and silk, she still kills it when dressing down in just sweats and a T-shirt.

“I guess my style's a little edgy but comfortable. I like being comfortable, for sure, and kind of casual,” Jenner said in an interview for Yareah Magazine. Everyone has their own sense of style, but looking at celebrities can give just enough inspiration that does not have to break the bank. Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack and Lord & Taylor all keep up with the latest trends at an affordable price without looking tacky.

Junior Jana Devaney has a passion for fashion. She attended one of the top fashion schools, Laboratory in Merchandising, in New York City where she studied fashion and discovered her love for it.

“My favorite fall trends include high boots because you can wear them with almost any outfit, whether it is casual or dressy,” Devany said.

Devaney also agrees that big scarves are key in making an outfit more stylish. “I’ve always been one to dress in an edgier outfit. I love wearing things that many people wouldn’t. Faux fur jackets are my favorite piece to make a statement.”

She does not have a specific celebrity favorite she looks to for inspiration, yet frequently checks Instagram for new styles and help in finding new stores to check out.

Fashion does not have to be expensive or stressful. A pair of high boots, jeans and a sweater has been a timeless style for a reason. Complete the outfit with a maroon manicure and a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte, and the outfit and you will be ready to take on whatever autumn throws at you.
