Spring break is coming up and it’s coming fast. Everyone wants to get away, relax and escape from reality. Being in college and adhering to a budget does not mean you still can’t splurge on an island with your besties.

The key to saving money on spring break while going where you please is to stay at an all-inclusive resort. Through an all-inclusive resort, you can pay one price that includes meals, drinks and transportation for the week or however long you are staying.

The overall price also depends on whether you want to leave the country or not. You can save money on a flight if you are going to destinations in the United States such as Florida, South Carolina, Texas or within driving distance to where you are.

However, traveling outside the United States does not have to be expensive. You can travel to Costa Rica, Mexico, the Bahamas, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands and other places if you do the proper research. These islands and coastal regions are beautiful and have a lot to offer for spring breakers.

Before you choose the right one for you, look up different activities you would like to do and see which places offer it, in order to get the most out of your vacation. Everyone has heard of epic spring breaks in Mexico, and if you book early enough, it is possible to get a round trip ticket for under $200 (in some cases, the flight is the most expensive part of the trip).

The earlier you book your trip the better. By traveling in groups, you can easily divide the total cost as well. It becomes much cheaper for a group of friends when you are able to split a room four-way.

While planning your trip, keep in mind what type of spring break vibe you would like, as there are many different adventures to choose from. There are crazy road trips where you are constantly on the go or you may opt for a relaxing laid-back vacation. Busy college students can always benefit from a relaxing vacation.

Regardless of the trip you decide to take, as long as it is a memorable and fun experience with your friends, you will reflect on it for years to come.
