Kardashian frenzy amps up with second season

“The Kardashians” is back on Hulu, and it reveals all the Kardashian drama we have been waiting to see. The first episode of season two aired on Sept. 22, offering a much more detailed window into the chaos hinted at by social media drama. The season follows Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kourtney’s new husband — Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Khloé’s ex, Tristan Thompson.

Episode one starts strong with Khloé’s big reveal: her new baby boy is on the way thanks to a surrogate birth mother. The news should have been celebratory, but an unpleasant revelation about Thompson spoiled the mood and had a permanent impact on the family dynamic.

In December 2021, Khloé discovered that her boyfriend had been cheating on her the entire time and is expecting a baby with his mistress. The news broke on social media before the episode aired, but Khloé takes the time to explain the complicated circumstances she had been going through.

Months before the episode aired, social media outlets slandered Khloé, and people were wondering why she would have a baby with her ex. I wondered the same thing because going back to an ex and having a baby is insane. However, episode one clarifies what exactly happened and reveals Khloé had no control over the situation. It was a complete surprise to her and her family, and Thompson is all to blame.

Thompson has had a bad track record of cheating on Khloé for years now, and when they finally were in a good place, he cheated once again. Kylie stated that his actions were “unforgivable” and I totally agree. Personally, I wouldn’t even trust Thompson after his poor habits.

Throughout the episode, we see how Khloé’s broken heart takes an emotional, physical and mental toll on her. Although her romantic relationship contained infidelity, her family ties stayed strong and proved to be her greatest asset. Her family members stayed by her side and supported her through it all.

Kris called a family meeting with Kim, Kylie and Kendall to discuss ways to help Khloé recover. They were not in favor of Tristan and accused him of trapping Khloé with the surrogacy.

“It’s like you were encouraging Khloé to go forward with this while you know that was also happening. It’s almost like he wanted to trap her,” Kendall states in the episode.

The family agrees to host a private baby shower with immediate family members to allow Khloé to feel better and enjoy her baby process. Throughout that event, Khloé is surrounded by loved ones and she appreciates being with people who care so much about her. Although Khloé is dealing with a rollercoaster of emotions, as a fan I’m happy

she has a tight support system with her.

Towards the end of the episode, Khloé and her ex’s baby was born. Khloé and Kim were the only ones present during the delivery process. Khloé shows her new son to her family members through video call and does not allow the unfortunate circumstances surrounding his birth to sour her bond with him. Thompson was not shown during the delivery process, but appeared in the episode shortly after with his new baby. They have not revealed a name for the baby, but it was stated that the name will start with the letter T just like his older sibling, True Thompson.

Thompson showing up to the hospital for his baby was a good call for him and Khloé. At the end of the day, it is their baby and they should share the birth of their new son. I feel terrible for Khloé and cannot imagine the pain she has felt, but the healing process begins now.

The first episode focused on the drama surrounding Khloé and Thompson, and I’m interested in looking at what is yet to come this season. The end of the episode gave a glimpse of Kourtney and Barker’s wedding which we all saw on Instagram, and I’m hoping to watch the Kim and Pete Davidson romance, even though their relationship is now over.

Episode two will air on Sept. 29, and fans are already drooling in anticipation of what will be revealed about the rest of the family later in the season.
