Less than three minutes later, just after the excitement died down, Chavez scored her second goal of the game unassisted. This goal, which made the score 3-0, was Chavez’s fifth goal of the season, leading her teammates in goals scored.
With five minutes remaining in the game, Anamaria Plaia scored with a shot directly into the back of the net with an assist by Tanasy. The Roadrunners secured the win against Western Connecticut with a score of 4-0.
In their second game of the week on Oct. 12, goalie Michelle Kukan secured third place at Ramapo in all-time career saves. The Roadrunners took on Rowan University in their game last Saturday and fell to a 6-0 shutout.
