I'm currently studying Unity's C# Survival Guide, and other gaming tutorials. The survival guide is helpful, but I want to have the confidence to work on my own game projects and eventually XR development. I understand Unity abstracts away a lot of the stuff, but i really want to learn how to become a great C# programmer. I'm not trying to build my own game engine, but I also don't want to be using a any engine and be lost. For instance, I'm really into open source stuff, and would love to use Godot game engine with C#, so basically I guess I really want to understand programming fundamentals, how to think like a programmer, etc but with with C# and Unity while making games, XR, etc.

A little bit about me:
I'm a stay at home dad/unschooler. So, I have the time to develop and I'm not trying to pursue a career in it. It's a life-long goal of mind, so I'm invested. My 9 year old daughter and I love playing games and I use that to teach her subjects. Eventually, I would like to incorporate her art lessons into making a game with her. Lastly, I received my BFA in Poetry and my MS in Innovation and Creativity. I'm pretty good at connecting the dots, as long as the person is good at the same. I'm just not learning the way I want to learn by taking courses.

What I'm looking for in a tutor/mentor:
I'm looking at 1-2 hours a week. Maybe 1 hour on Monday or something to set agenda for learning. Then another hour later in the week for discussions, help, etc. I'm looking for a months at a time. I would like to try building my own game ideas (with direction on expectations meeting skills) and really get a firm grasp of fundamentals of programming.
