For years we have been honoring music artists for their inspiring music videos, creative albums and much more. Award shows like the AMAs or BBMAs are phenomenal, but the Grammys are far grander. High-end fashion, stunning performances and award-winning speeches are what makes this award show so memorable. This year, it will be no less spectacular than the others, even with COVID-19 still in our lives.
Here are the most talked about categories for this year’s Grammy’s:

Since the nominee list has come out, there has been a lot of talk about who deserved recognition for each category. For example, people believe that Taylor Swift did not deserve the nomination for Album of the Year, whereas The Weeknd did. His recent album, “After Hours,” was completely snubbed and should have been nominated for multiple categories, including Album of the Year.
Another artist who was snubbed was Harry Styles. Many fans are happy that his 2019 album, “Fine Line” got nominated for three categories; however, some believe that the record was also strong enough for Album of the Year.
While many artists congratulated their fans for their dedication via Twitter or Instagram, others went a different route. Justin Bieber, nominated for four different categories, was a little upset when he first saw the nominations. He tweeted:
“I am very meticulous and intentional about my music. With that being said I set out to make an R&B album. “‘Changes’ was and is an R&B album. It is not being acknowledged as an R&B album which is very strange to me.”
I think that this year’s Grammy’s is going to be very interesting. I believe that both “Savage” and “Say So” are the two songs that have a really good chance of winning Record of the Year. There is speculation that Taylor Swift’s “Folklore” has a high chance at winning Album of the Year; however, Dua Lipa’s “Future Nostolgia” has been very popular amongst fans and casual listeners alike.
Of course, there is no doubt in my mind that BTS will win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their summer single, “Dynamite.” If they snag that award, it will make them the first K-pop group to every win a Grammy.
The outcome of the award show will definitely be one with awaited speculation, so be sure to watch the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 31, 2021.
