Dylan Marlow, a now five-year recording artist, has made his mark on the country world by creating amazing songs that you can’t help but play over and over again. “Picture Perfect,” the newest addition to his repertoire, is the definition of a country song that makes you imagine a dream life with your partner.
The song describes a life where a couple is thinking of their future, living in their dream house and starting a family. It contains multiple mentions of saving up money, being able to make their dream come true and what they would do when they achieve it.
Lyrics such as, “Might not look like it right now / But me and god got some bigger plans / … Baby close your eyes and picture perfect / … In the concrete holdin’ up your dream house,” are what makes the song more thoughtful and allows you to imagine what you want in your dream life.
Listening to this song made me want all the land I can have with a great big house and a long driveway where there are no neighbors in sight, just like Marlowe sings.
There are a lot of country songs that deal with imagining your dream life, but Marlowe truly makes something special here. His message is so sincere and his voice goes perfectly with the tempo and lyrics.
It is safe to say that “Picture Perfect” will stay on repeat.
