A Letter from the Web Editor

Since this paper was established in 1969 it has been a weekly print publication. Now, in the span of two semesters, it has launched online as well as transitioned to publishing twice a week. The print edition will continue to come out on Thursdays, but now look for new stories on the Ramapo News website at ramaponews.com on Tuesday evenings as well as Thursday mornings.

Also, breaking news and exclusive content will still become available throughout the week. This evolution would not have been possible without the hard work of our tremendous staff. This was a team effort that involved our editors setting new deadlines and guidelines and our writers rising to meet them. The entire staff has taken on additional duties and responsibilities in order to expand the scope of our operation, and a big thanks goes to our Editor-in-Chief Nicole Alliegro who oversaw the changeover and worked late to help prepare and polish all of our fresh online content.

Our Photo Editor Steve Fallon put in a star effort marshaling all the images we needed in time, and our News Editor Candace Mitchell did a great job taking the first turn burning the candle at both ends on Tuesday night.

Each editor will volunteer to work late an extra night each week, and the entire staff is on call twice as much as before in order to provide the best possible news coverage to the campus community. If we thought we lived in the newsroom before, we absolutely do now. Check it out at ramaponews.com, and sign up for the newsletter for the latest news updates.
