The men’s and women’s swim teams competed in the Franklin and Marshall Invitational in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Nov. 22. The men’s team finished in sixth place while the women’s team finished in eighth place.

“We swam well overall,” said Orr.

Then, in the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Arthur, Herbert, D. Bach and Trewhella finished in fifth place with a time of 1:49.58

Sophomore Aspen-Jade Tucker thought that the Franklin and Marshall Invitational was a good meet.

“It’s a little early, late in November instead of December, when we’re used to midseason rest meets,” he said.

“[I was]just keeping my stroke long, keeping a good pace, trying to figure when I should go faster or slow down a little bit, keeping my head straight and keeping my form good,” said Carillo

Herbert was satisfied with her 50-yard freestyle.

“I wasn’t expecting a time like that, so I was happy with that,” said Herbert of her 23.69 time.

The Roadrunners return to action after the new year on Jan. 23 for a home meet when they battle NJAC rival Montclair State University, where they will honor eight students on their senior day.
